Now adays due to Covid-19 situation funeral is taking place with only 50 persons as well as Besana-Shradhanjali Shaba or Prayer meeting taking place on Zoom or on telephone.

1. Don’t be late in any last rites places.. Walking in between the service of rituals or Besna at an inappropriate time can seem disrespectful.
2. Don’t wear anything florescent color. Dressing appropriately and conservatively is symbolic of your warmth towards the mourning family. Stay with white if possible.
3. Keep your phone on silent mode. If you have an urgent call to take, quietly leave the place to do so.
4. Don’t talk or laugh loudly. While it is crucial to express a few words of sympathy and condolences to the bereaved, one must think about what you say before saying it. Anything inappropriate might trigger feelings of hurt.
5. Don’t talk about your relationship with the lost one. All of the family and friends have gathered for the same reason. Remember that you are not here to showmen to everyone.
6. Keep your children outside otherwise they run around or create noise. For young children, it might be hard to attend a funeral. They might not understand the sensitivity of the event and can act unruly. If your teenager wants to attend tell him the reality of the situation before attending.
